Tracking Down Immigration Stories (MCGS Monthly Meeting)
2:00 pm Bedford Public Library, 2424 Forest Ridge Drive, Bedford, Texas 76021
Learning our ancestors' immigration stories is usually a top priority for genealogy researchers. But how do we find those stories? What types of records can help us uncover them? In this session you'll learn how to discover your ancestors' immigration stories using census clues, voter rolls, land records, passenger manifests, and even newspapers. Case studies will show how various documents revealed tales of immigration for Nancy's ancestors from Ireland, Croatia, Canada, and Belgium.
