About Us
The Mid-Cities Genealogical Society was organized on 19 June 1978. Our mission is to assist the public and our members in the study of genealogy and to encourage the libraries in the Mid-Cities area to obtain books and other records of genealogical interest.
We are now doing in-person meetings!
We meet on the third Monday of each month at the Bedford Public Library (2424 Forest Ridge Dr., Bedford, TX 76021). Visitors are welcome.
2:00 p.m. -- Meet Time
The meetings start with the introduction of new members and visitors and a short business session, followed by a speaker on a topic of genealogical or historical interest.
Our Executive Board meets virtually on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The Board Meeting is open to all members, to request access please email our Society's President at
President@txmcgs.org.
Unfortunately, we do not have the personnel to provide research services. If you are researching Fort Worth/Dallas, Texas, genealogical lines, including obituaries, please consult the
Association of Professional Genealogists.
