About Us
The Mid-Cities Genealogical Society was organized on 19 June 1978. Our mission is to assist the public and our members in the study of genealogy and to encourage the libraries in the Mid-Cities area to obtain books and other records of genealogical interest.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all meetings will be virtual until further notice.
We meet on the first Thursday of each month. Visitors are welcome.
6:30 p.m. – Webinar bridge opens
7:00 p.m. – General Meeting
The meetings start with the introduction of new members and visitors and a short business session, followed by a speaker on a topic of genealogical or historical interest.
Our Executive Board meets virtually on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
Unfortunately, we do not have the personnel to provide research services. If you are researching Fort Worth/Dallas, Texas, genealogical lines, including obituaries, please consult the
Association of Professional Genealogists.
